On Friday (Oct. 25), The Hamilton Consulting Group Political Tidbits erroneously reported that the Task Force on Local Government Health Partnerships would be meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 30. The Task Force will NOT be meeting on that day.

The Task Force, led by Rep. Terri McCormick (R-Appleton), met last Wednesday, Oct. 23, and took executive action on the 11 proposals pending before the group. The Task Force recommended nine of the 11 proposals be moved forward and packaged into legislation to be called the "Health Insurance Reform Package." The Task Force is planning to unveil the Health Insurance Reform Package sometime in November after the election.

The nine proposals that will be included are:

• Municipal Coverage Health Care Plans
• Insurance Bids
• Claims Experience
• Municipal Health Care Insurance
• Employee-Funded Reimbursement Accounts
• Long Term Care Insurance
• Council on Health Care Coverage Programs
• Interagency Task Force: Prescription Drug Bulk Purchasing
• Municipal Employment Arbitration

The two proposals that were tabled are:

• Local Government Officials Code of Ethics
• Wisconsin Public Employers Group Health Insurance Program
